Welan gum can greatly improve the water retention performance of the slurry and reduce the crackings on the surface. Water is not easy to be quickly absorbed by cement particles and cement hydration is complete, which is beneficial to strength improvement in the later periods. Welan gum is used in the mortar to make the distribution of various components in the slurry uniform, homogenize, and stable, which can prevent the slurry from sedimentation, stratification, and bleeding. Concrete admixture adds 0.1%-0.2%, adds about 100 grams per cubic mortar.
