Erythritol
Erythritol is a safe, excellent, natural, green, and healthy sweetener. It exists in nature, found in seaweed, mushrooms, melons, grapes, and fermented foods, and has been a component of the human diet for tens of thousands of years. Its sweetness is approximately 70%–80% of sucrose; it has a cooling sensation in the mouth, a pure sweetness similar to sucrose, and no aftertaste of bitterness. When mixed with other sweeteners such as saccharin and aspartame, it exhibits good sweetness characteristics and can mask unpleasant tastes.
